Sharing via Catalog

The KlickerUZH Catalog provides a central place to discover and share reusable educational resources like Elements and Activity Templates across the institution.

Key aspects include:

  • Understanding the Catalog:
    • Purpose: Facilitate discovery and reuse of content beyond direct sharing.
    • Visibility: Who can see items in the catalog (e.g., all lecturers at the institution).
    • Types of Sharable Resources: Typically Elements and Activity Templates.
  • Publishing to the Catalog:
    • Finding the 'Publish to Catalog' option for an eligible resource.
    • Adding relevant metadata: Title, description, tags, language, potentially preview images.
    • Understanding review processes (if any).
    • Setting the default permissions for users who import from the catalog (e.g., Read-only or Execute).
  • Catalog Collections:
    • Purpose: Organize related catalog items into thematic groups (e.g., "Introductory Anatomy Questions", "Exam Templates FS24").
    • Creating and Managing Collections: Naming, describing, adding/removing catalog items.
    • Collection Visibility and Permissions (if different from individual items).
  • Browsing and Using Catalog Content:
    • Accessing the Catalog interface.
    • Searching and filtering items (by type, tags, keywords, collections).
    • Previewing catalog items.
    • Importing items into your own library, courses, or activities.
    • Understanding the permissions you get on imported items.
  • Managing Your Published Items:
    • Viewing items you have published.
    • Updating metadata or content of published items (versioning considerations?).
    • Unpublishing items from the Catalog.
